I, Wally West, am wearing a suit. No my usual superhero threads, but a tux. And I have to say I look pretty damn good. Why am I wearing this you ask? Well Batman told all of us to go to this dance at Gotham Academy to, and I quote, "look out for suspicious persons." That is the truth, but not the whole truth. He really wants us to go make sure nothing happens to Dick at that party, even though I'm the only one who will even recognize him.
Him.
Dick.
Oh God have I screwed up things this time. I am the definition of stupid. I've screwed things up so bad you don't even wanna know how bad I screwed things up. He won't talk to me or even look at me. He'll even leave the room if I walk in.
Yeah. It's pretty damn bad.
With a sigh I walk out of my room and down the stairs where the rest of my teammates wait for my late ass. Kald'r and Supey are both wearing normal, dark suits, M'gann is wearing a simple blue spaghetti-strap dress, and Artemis...
Ugh.
"It took you two hours to look like that?" she says to me as she gestures at my appearance.
Yes, Bitch.
"And it took you 3 to look like an oversized lollipop?" I retort.
She's about to rearrange my face when Kald'r puts a hand on her shoulder and talks her down. I brush it off and head out the door past them, eager to get this night over with.
Someone please. Kill me now.

When we enter the huge gym, the sight of this dance, we're greeted with bright, flashing lights and pulse-pounding music that rocks my entire body. Almost every inch of the dancefloor is covered by dancing teenagers. Some are good and some are-
Dude. Close your shirt. It's nasty. No one wants to see that. Not even your momma.
"Hey guys, did ya see that-?" I turn around to make a joke to my friends but they're already gone, out of sight. Thanks guys. I know you really care. I scan the crowd for their familiar faces, curious to know what exactly had been so fascination that they had left me at the first chance they got. I'm about to give up when I see M'gann by the food table with Supey. Party food must be a real cultural interest for them. And a few feet away are Kald'r and Artemis. From here it looks like she's trying to teach him how to dance the human way.
What's eating me up about all this is not the fact that I don't have anyone to talk to, but that I'm so insanely jealous that it hurts. They get to be all lovey dovey with each other and I'm alone, not even bothering to look for Dick. He won't spend the night with me and I won't try to ask. I don't deserve that right.
I exhale roughly and enter the crowd of moving bodies as the next song starts, dancing as well because I might as well look like I'm having fun, right?
So we back in the club
With our bodies rockin' from side to side
(Side side-to side)
Thank God the week is done
I feel a zombie gone back to life.
(Back back-to life)
Catchy beat. It encourages me to move faster.
Hands up.
Suddenly, we all got our hands up.
No control, of my body.
As my hands fly up in unison with the others I see a familiar pair of pale ones between a happy, dancing couple.
Oh God.
Aint I seen you before?
I think I remember those eyes, eyes, eyes.
(Eyes Eye-eyes eyes)
The couple moves aside and there's a flash of crystal blue that catches my eyes and I'm gone.
Cuz baby tonight!
The DJ got us fallin' in love again!
The entire dancefloor lights on fire as the beat kicks up, including the angelic figure of my dancing boyrfirend dressed in a sleek balck tux that only the son of Bruce Wayne could afford. The navy blue tie is loosened a bit, the collar uptuned, and a button undone. The smile on his lips is so bright and full of a joy I haven't seen in just about forever. His electric blue eyes are lit with such an intense fire that I melt and I know I've just fallen. Hard.
Again.
Yeah baby tonight!
The DJ got us fallin' in love again.
So dance, dance like it's the
Last, last night of your
Life, life; Gon' get you right.
Cuz baby tonight! The DJ got us fallin in love again.
And he is.
His hips are swaying from side to side in a flowing motion that's almost mezmerizing, his slim arms moving through the air with a grace that's completely his, feet pounding into the ground in time with the beat.
Keep downin' drinks like there's no tomorrow
There's just right now, now, now.
(Now n-now now.)
I don't care about what's happened in the past, about my screwups, my idiocy, the pain. I just have to get over there right. Now. Because I can't stand being away from him any longer. So I do, making sure not to just run over there but to keep dancing and blend in.
Don't worry. I think I've lost my mind, too.
When I reach him he says nothing to me and keeps on with his group of dancing teens.
Gon' set the roof on fire,
Gonna burn this mother fo- down, down, down.
(Down down-down down. Come on!)
Whoa. I did not know he could get that low. He doesn't "drop it like it's hot" but eases down in the guy version of what the girls beside him are doing. It's cool, it's sexy, it's him.
Hands up.
When the music drops, we both put our hands up.
Put your hands, on my body.
Swear I've seen you before,
I think Iremember those eyes, eyes, eyes.
(Eyes eyes-eyes eyes)
After he finishes a move he bumps backwards into me and I think it's an accident. After all, the little sound he makes is adorable. But then he looks up and proves me dead wrong. Those damn gorgeous eyes are filled with mischieveiousness and I almost explode. My arms move on their own to embrace him to hold him against my body and never let him go.
Cuz baby tonight!
The beat picks back up and he slips away from my grasp with such ease-and damn that smile! He knows he has me, that he's like a carrot dangling in front of a desperate rabbit. But he won't let me have him because I've hurt him and don't deserve him. He keeps dancing through the chorus but when the rap section begins, it's my turn to go crazy.
What happens next...is a blur but I know I was doing pretty well because people were cheering and stuff like that. But I barely hear them. It's just me and the music and the insanity I've brought upon myself. Then the familar words of the chours come back but slower and softer.
Cuz baby tonight.
The DJ got us fallin in love again.
Yeah baby, tonight.
The DJ got us fallin in love.
Fallin love!
(wooooo-ooo!)
As I turn, I turn into Dick who's looking at me without malice or anger or hurt. It's a look I haven't seen in days and it overtakes me completely. He's getting on his tiptoes, inching closer, eyes closing, lips parting slightly, and then-
His mouth is on mine and I'm on fire. It's gentle and soft and I know I've gone crazy because it feels like one of those loving kisses we share with each other all the time. I realize how much I've really missed this, him. My hands reach up to hold him closer and he actually lets me. Right now. In public. I could die right now. Seriously.
Then that goddamn music picks back up again and he tears away from me to dance once again. But this time he stays close to me and we dance together. Our bodies stay away from each other from the most part through the rest of the song but there's an occasional brush of hands or shoulders and he never darts away. As soon as the song ends I take him by the hand and lead him to a somewhat-secluded area of the gym by a wall. We need to talk.
"Dick, let me start off by saying I'm really, really, really, really, sorry. And I know I can't really say I'm sorry enough to make up for what happened, but I-"
"Shhhhhh," he interrupts me, placing a small finger on my lips. "S'okay."
Not it is definitely not okay.
"But Dick-"
"I said it's okay, man." I blink. That cannot be right.
"Why...?"
"Because-" He wraps his arms around me and pulls himself closer. "-I just fell in love with you all over again."
Oh God.
"R-really?" He nods.
"Yup. So you get a pardon this time."
I am so damn lucky right now.
My own arms wrap around his waist and I rest my chin on his head.
"I'm still sorry."
"I know you are. Why do you think I'm letting you hold me right now?"
Good point.
"But I have to ask," he starts again. "Why are you here?"
"Batman sent me the team here to look after you. Though he didn't say those words exactly."
"He did?" There's confusion in his voice.
"Yeah."
"Well that's weird, because I just saw Alfred and thought Bruce sent him to look after me."
I'm about to talk again when I spot someone over by the DJ table. From the back I can tell he's an old man and wearing a clean cut, black suit. The DJ hands him something that looks like a CD and the old guy turns.
It's Alfred. He turns in my direction and gives me a subtle wink that's so fast only I can see it and then exits out the back door. I can't help but laugh.
"What is it?" Dick asks, not liking being out of the know.
"Oh, Nothing." I pull back a bit and place a light kiss on his forehead.
"I just love you is all."
And haha Alfred is such a Troll
And well, the way you describded him, Dick seems SO HOT XD I'm just imaging it SO well
